With a battery life of 6.5 hours you will not have to worry about running out of battery life. There are sockets that support 2GB/4GB/8GB memory sticks using 2x DDR3L.

If you want good cheap laptops under 300, this one is very inexpensive and is really within everyone’s budget. Coming from Dell it is sturdy something we expect from Dell always. Uses a 64-bit Windows 10 and gives decent performance. Battery life is about enough and it’s good for everyday use. Students will find it useful because of its budget. On the flipside the blue color may not suit everyone. The display has some poor viewing angles.
Acer Chromebook 14
Available at a price of $280 it is affordable and being an Acer product it comes with a metal body. 4GB memory may not be enough for everything you need to do but for students this is good enough. You can play easier games too. Battery life is 12 hours and the screen is large – 1080p HD. On the flip side there’s no SD card slot. The keyboard is stiff too. Bottomline – good stuff $280 can buy.
Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series (3558)
Another good cheap laptop under 300, this one offers generous hardware for that price. Sharp touch screen. Battery life is good enough for you to take it outside. 1,366-by-768 display resolution. It may seem a little too less. When you leave the lid open you will notice some flex. It is a capable desktop replacement with good enough battery life.
Lenovo IdeaPad 100S-11 (80R2003XUS)
This is another laptop that gives you money’s worth. For those starting to use laptops this is a good one. It is not heavy and is well-built. 32-bit OS and its average performance may not make it a much favored buy. The keyboard exhibits some flex. The display doesn’t offer a wide angle view. Bottomline – it is portable, light and has a lightweight design, performance fit enough for that low price.
